Showy Flowers

Showy Flowers

The gray/green foliage and the tall red/coral (though there are some with yellow) flowers are a really nice contrast.

Best Feature:  tall, arching thin stalks of flowers in late summer to early fall, low maintenance, low water

From :  Texas and Mexico

Preferable Places : Sunset Zones 2b, 3, 7-16, 18-24;  USDA Zones 8-10

Looks :  3-4 feet tall and wide with flowers up to 5 feet

Personality :  easy going, evergreen, narrow, stiff succulent-like leaves, round and dense, look good planted in masses but can also stand alone, deals well with high temperatures, makes a great container plant

Likes :  full sun or partial shade, spent flowers cut after bloom
