Fun garden sculpture, great color

Fun garden sculpture, great color

This is a great for a small garden focal point, alone or a small cluster of them. They are (usually) symmetrical spheres and add texture and interest.  A living sculpture.

Best Feature:  green and some red/purple (when young) evergreen foliage, nice round shape, low maintenance, drought tolerant

From :  Mexico

Preferable Places : Sunset Zones 13, 20-24, H1;  USDA Zones 9a-11

Looks :  2-3 feet tall and wide

Personality :  evergreen, can easily be the center of attention and doesn’t need much water or maintenance

Likes :  full sun or partial shade, good drainage

Issues : edges of leaves can be sharp, best to not plant next to walkway, will die after flowering but that takes several years
